We are thrilled to invite you to participate in our annual Women Build 2026 event, benefiting Yakima Habitat for Humanity. This is a unique opportunity for your team to come together, learn new skills, support our mission, and inspire the next generation of women in the trades. Women Build 2026 challenges teams to construct a high-quality, sturdy playhouse. These finished playhouses are then turned into canvases for young girls and teens, who will paint and decorate them before they are sold in our Habitat Store.

The Goal: Every dollar raised from the sale of these playhouses goes directly toward funding our mission to build homes, community, and hope in the Yakima Valley.

The Inspiration: "Girls play house, women build them." This highlights the importance of encouraging girls and women to explore construction trade pathways and learn valuable building skills.

- A Women Build 2026 t-shirt, snacks and beverages.
- An inspiring visit from our Homeowners during the build day.
- An invitation to the playhouse reveal “She Nailed It!” on Tuesday, March 24th 4-6pm at the Habitat Store, where you can see the finished designs, enjoy visiting with the other groups, and teens that worked on the projects! 

1. Women Build Teams (Construction Focus) We are looking for organizations to form a team of adult builders (all skill levels welcome!) to construct one of the playhouses. By forming a team, your organization will directly contribute to raising funds for safe, affordable homes in our community, foster team bonding and provide hands-on skill-building experience for your staff, send a powerful message about encouraging women and girls in construction and STEM fields. 

Build Dates: March 11th - 13th, 2026 8am-12pm / 12:30pm-4:30pm shifts Group Size: We recommend a group of 4-6 per playhouse Registration: Team registration$25/person 

2. Teen Design Teams (Design & Painting Focus) We are seeking groups of young girls and teens to volunteer to design and paint the finished playhouses. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to showcase their creativity and artistic skills, volunteer for a great cause and earn community service hours, and contribute directly to raising funds to build homes, community, and hope right here in the Yakima Valley. 

Design Dates: March 13th &14th, 2026 8am-12pm / 12:30pm-4pm shifts Group Size: We recommend a group of 3-6 teens per playhouse Commitment: Design Teams will be assigned a playhouse and time slot to complete the painting and decoration. Materials will be provided by Yakima Habitat.
