Call to Artists
Hoedown for Housing Upcycled AuctionTheme: Home on the RangeYakima Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity invites artists and makers to participate in the Hoedown for Housing Upcycled Auction, where creativity meets community and reused materials are transformed into one of a kind works of art.
This page is used to confirm your interest in participating as an artist for the 2026 Upcycled Auction.
At this stage, you are not selecting materials or committing to a specific piece. Once participating artists are confirmed, our team will follow up to coordinate scheduled days and times to visit the Habitat Store to view and select available upcycled items.
________________________________________About the Theme
This year’s theme, Home on the Range, is inspired by the idea of home in all its forms. It is not limited to western style art. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly and creatively, focusing on what “home” means to you, comfort, place, memory, belonging, humor, or imagination.
Upcycled Materials Provided
Artists will have the opportunity to select items from the Habitat Store to use as a base or inspiration for their piece. Available items may include:
• Sewing machine tables
• Small side tables and cabinets
• Chairs and stools
• Picture frames and mirrors
• Lamps, drawers, or other household pieces
These everyday items, once part of a home, are ready for a new chapter through your creativity.
Creative Freedom Encouraged
Your finished piece may be functional or purely artistic. Pieces can be sculptural, whimsical, abstract, or traditional. Paint, mixed media, woodworking, metal, fiber, and unexpected materials are all welcome. The goal is to create something unique that reflects the spirit of home and renewal.
